1. Use GoToMeeting to schedule a conference.

GoToMeeting is a remote meeting and desktop sharing software that enables you to participate in meetings via the Internet in real-time. When you are unable to attend a meeting in person, GoToMeeting allows you to view meeting presentations and documents that are being shared on-screen during the meeting on your home/office computer.

 

There are three different methods to join a GoToMeeting:

  1. Join a GoToMeeting from the link provided on the invitation email
  2. Join a GoToMeeting from the Website (first time user)
  3. Join a GoToMeeting from the Website (GoToMeeting already downloaded on your computer)

 

See the steps below for each method.

 

Join by Invitation

Join a GoToMeeting from the link provided on the invitation email:

 

  1. Click the link (provided in the email) to join the meeting (we should be up and running about 10 minutes before the meeting begins).
  2. The link should look something like this: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/join/12345678
  3. If prompted, click Yes, to accept the download.
  4. Enter the Meeting ID# included in the email.
  5. You will be entered into the meeting, and the Attendee Control Panel and GoToMeeting Viewer Window will appear. You can minimize the Attendee Control Panel by clicking on the small orange arrow at the top left of the panel. Once connected, you will see everything on screen that anyone in the meeting room is seeing.
  6. At any time, you can dial into the conference line for the teleconference portion of the meeting.  A conference number will be provided in the invitation email, as well as shown on screen once the attendee has joined the meeting

 

 

Join via the GoToMeeting Website

Join GoToMeeting from the website (first-time user)

 

  1. Click on this link: http://www.gotomeeting.com
  2. On the top right of the web page, click the Join a Meeting button.
  3. If prompted, click Yes, to accept the download.
  4. On the Join a Meeting – GoToMeeting dialog box, enter your Meeting ID#.
  5. You will be entered into the meeting, and the Attendee Control Panel and GoToMeeting Viewer Window will appear. You can minimize the Attendee Control Panel by clicking on the small orange arrow at the top left of the panel. Once connected, you will see everything on screen that anyone in the meeting room is seeing.
  6. At any time, you can dial into the conference line for the teleconference portion of the meeting.  A conference number will be provided in the invitation email, as well as shown on screen once the attendee has joined the meeting.

 

 

Join via GoToMeeting Website (2)

Join a GoToMeeting from the Web Site (GoToMeeting already downloaded on your computer):

 

  1. Click on this link: http://www.joingotomeeting.com
  2. If prompted, click Yes, to accept the download.
  3. On the Join a Meeting – GoToMeeting dialog box, enter your Meeting ID#.
  4. You will be entered into the meeting, and the Attendee Control Panel and GoToMeeting Viewer Window will appear. You can minimize the Attendee Control Panel by clicking on the small orange arrow at the top left of the panel. Once connected, you will see everything on screen that anyone in the meeting room is seeing.
  5. At any time, you can dial into the conference line for the teleconference portion of the meeting.  A conference number will be provided in the invitation email, as well as shown on screen once the attendee has joined the meeting.

2. GoToAssist Instructions

Use GoToAssist to schedule a help desk session for support with a technical problem or file share.

 

Go-To-Assist’s Service Portal requires only a browser and a phone. This portal is intended for web collaboration and remote assistance that allows our customers to interact live with our technical staff and to share documentation online for communication and training purposes.

 

Follow these steps to connect with a representative:

 

  1. Once you are on the phone with a member of our support team, you will be directed to this page to initiate the screen-sharing session: http://www.gotoassist.com/ph/wes-tech
  2. Complete the fields, select your support representative from the drop-down menu and click the button.
  3. Download the prompted small, virus-free plug-in. The proper security permissions will needed in order to install this plug-in. If you have difficulty with the plug-in or are uncertain about your security permissions or the plug-in, please contact your company’s IT representative.
  4. With your permission, your support representative can view your screen and share control of your mouse and keyboard.
  5. You are in full control of your computer at all times. You always have overriding control of your mouse and keyboard, and you can end the screen-sharing session at any time.
